This workshop marks the re-engagement of Japan with engagement IEA-ETSAP, the International Energy Agency Technology Collaboration Programme on energy systems modelling. It brings together IEA ETSAP energy systems modelling experts from University College Cork and E4SMA together with Japanese energy systems modelling experts from the University of Tokyo, the Institute Energy Economic Japan (IEEJ), National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) and Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) to discuss energy systems modelling techniques and applications.
